Stages of Issuing an e-Examination Document
-
1 Patient visits a doctor's office with an internet connection.
-
2 Doctor opens a new medical e-examination document in NHIS. They fill in patient's details and type of examination.
If a physical examination is performed during a home visit, medical specialist can create a record in NHIS within 10 days of date of examination using their office’s medical software. E-examination document must show actual date of physical examination. -
3 Medical practitioner performs physical examination.
If necessary, doctor can issue one or more related medical documents, with NHIS generating a separate, unique NRN for each document (e-prescription, e-referral, e-immunization, etc). -
4 GP/ specialized doctor fills in data in the electronic document post-examination.
Doctor fills in information about anamnesis, patient condition, prescribed treatment/ therapy, additional tests, primary diagnosis and comorbidity (if any), performed medical-diagnostic activities, and other medical information. -
5 Completion of e-examination and reporting it to NHIS. After successful NHIS registration, e-examination document receives a unique NRN.
-
6 Examination becomes part of patient's electronic health record and can be accessed in Examinations module. If patient has installed the eZdrave app and has enabled it to receive notifications, they will be notified of a newly registered examination on their mobile device.
-
7 Doctor can edit the electronic record of an already completed examination if they find an error or wish to add new information. Correction of patient’s or doctor's personal data is not allowed.
-
8 Examination can only be canceled by doctor who initially completed and documented examination or by authorized persons. E-examination can be canceled only if all other related electronic documents are also canceled.
