Medical professionals in kindergartens and schools health offices can now work with electronic system edu.his.bg, which contains information from annual preventive examinations of children. The system is available in a production environment and allows medical professionals to view student data, but only for educational institution where they work.
Last week, nearly 2,000 medical professionals underwent training organized by Information Services to learn how to use the electronic system. If needed, additional training sessions will be held in September, and a user manual for the system has also been prepared.
The system provides access only to data such as height, weight, body mass index, chest circumference, allergies, immunizations, and contact details of the child’s general practitioner and guardian. Teachers do not have access to this data, while parents can view it through mobile app eZdrave.
Digitalization eliminates need for parents to submit the child’s health card on paper at the beginning of the school year. The requirement to provide medical clearance notes is also removed. Data from these notes is available in the system, which is accessible only to medical professionals in educational institutions via a qualified electronic signature.
